These two were absolutely adorable at the iconic Las Vegas Welcome Sign. Shooting this session at night with direct flash gave everything that fun, editorial Vegas feel — the glowing neon lights, the city energy, and those candid just-married moments that feel straight out of a movie. Nighttime flash photography at the Vegas sign adds so much personality and creates that perfect mix of nostalgic, playful, and iconic. Between the excitement of the Strip and their chemistry together, these photos felt effortlessly Vegas in the best way possible.=
Alexandra and McKinley’s elopement was the perfect mix of desert calm and Vegas chaos, and I always love sessions like this because the locations tell the whole story.
So, here’s a breakdown of where we shot their day as a Las Vegas elopement photographer who’s captured a ton of Calico Basin + Strip sessions.
We started at Calico Basin with Hellbent Hitchings for their ceremony.
This spot is perfect for couples wanting a desert feel without going too far out of the city. You get those warm red rock tones, open space, and a super natural, relaxed backdrop for vows.
Hot tip: Calico Basin looks best in softer light—late afternoon or golden hour gives you that warm glow on the rocks without harsh shadows.
The Paris balloon gives you that unmistakable Vegas backdrop without needing to stop at the Welcome Sign. At night especially, the neon colors pop beautifully and create such a fun editorial feel.
What I love most about this location:
✨ Bright Vegas lights everywhere
✨ Iconic city energy
✨ Walking distance to other Strip locations
✨ Perfect for candid movement shots
✨ Gives that “we eloped in Vegas and had the BEST night ever” feeling
And honestly? The movement from the people walking around them made this image even better. It feels alive. Like a memory instead of just a photo.
